We are delighted to announce that The Lioness Within Community CIC is now a Be Well Organisation, joining a growing network of community organisations working to strengthen mental health and wellbeing across South London.

Be Well is a partnership involving NHS mental health trusts, local authorities and community organisations. Its approach recognises the important role trusted community spaces can play in helping people connect, talk, access support and take action around the issues affecting their wellbeing.

The approach aligns closely with our own belief that healthy relationships should be built before they need to be repaired.

The Parent-Teen Connection Pathway

Through our Parent-Teen Connection Pathway, The Lioness Within Community CIC provides welcoming, relationship-centred opportunities for parents and carers of teenagers to connect, feel heard, access information and support, and strengthen relationships within their families.

Becoming a Be Well Organisation will allow us to build on this work by further embedding relational listening, strengthening signposting and community connections, reducing isolation and creating opportunities for parents and carers to develop their confidence and voice within their communities.

The Be Well approach will complement existing activities including our Parent-Teen Bond Connection Hub™, which provides a welcoming first point of contact for parents and carers seeking information, signposting and access to further support, and Parent Connection Tea & Talk, our facilitated listening and discussion space where parents can share experiences and learn from one another.

Developing New Community Partnerships

We are also looking forward to connecting with other Be Well Organisations, developing new community partnerships and contributing to the wider Be Well network across Bexley and South London.

We would like to thank the Be Well team for welcoming The Lioness Within Community CIC into the network and for their support as we begin this next stage of our development.

We look forward to continuing to create spaces where parents and carers feel heard, connected and supported — and where stronger family relationships can grow.
